As Associate Director of Regulation of Firms, Kelly Dayman is responsible for the Regulation of Firms Program including the education, support, auditing, and practice review of registrant firms. In addition, he is responsible for the Organizational Quality Management (OQM) Program and the organization’s advisory groups related to registrant firms. Kelly is a registered engineering licensee with extensive experience in manufacturing and consulting. Kelly is trained as an ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor and has audited firms across Canada, both for ISO 9001 and OQM compliance. He joined Engineers and Geoscientists BC in 2012 to launch the OQM Program and brings the value-added approach of the OQM Program to the regulation of firms.
Associate Director of Professional Practice, Engineers and Geoscientists BC
Lindsay Steele is a registered professional geoscientist with extensive experience in mining and mineral exploration. As Associate Director of Professional Practice, Lindsay is responsible for the development and management of professional practice guidance and resources for individual registrants, including Engineers and Geoscientists BC's professional practice guidelines, practice advisories, quality management standards, and practice advice services. In addition, she oversees the Continuing Education Program and the individual Audit and Practice Review Programs.
Senior Branch Manager of Development and Major Projects, City of Vancouver
Chalys is the Senior Branch Manager of Development and Major Projects in the Engineering department at the City of Vancouver. Chalys' branch manages street use and development impacts on engineering assets, and includes the Engineering Client Services Counter. They provide input on behalf of Engineering from Policy through to implementation, managing a busy development and construction industry in the City. Chalys has worked at the City for over 7 years, working entirely in the development area of engineering. Prior to working for the City of Vancouver, Chalys worked as a consulting engineer, gaining a wide variety of experience across civil engineering.
Director Engineering, District of Saanich
Harley is a professional engineer and has been the Director of Engineering with the District of Saanich for the past 6 years. In the past year, Harley has gained valuable experience leading Saanich’s Engineering Department in becoming Engineers and Geoscientists BC Organizational Quality Management certified. His work over the past 3 years as part of Municipal Engineers Division Executive and experience obtaining OQM certification has provided him valuable insight to support other local governments applying for Permit to Practice under the new Professional Governance Act regulations.
