The Richmond/Delta Branch would like to invite you to a webinar presentation from City of Richmond. In this webinar, three presenters provide insights into a number of topic areas, which delve into City of Richmond’s projects and programs, including: 1) An overview of city of Richmond and its unique challenges as an island at the mouth of the Fraser River. 2) Flood Protection Program – Climate change and its impacts, mitigation and adaptation strategies. 3) Highlights of various 2020 capital construction projects, including various utility upgrades, pump stations and diking projects 4) Innovative technologies and methods used in City of Richmond projects. A question and answer session at the end of the presentations provides an opportunity for the audience to pose their questions to the speakers and receive their response.
Leo Huang, P.Eng., Project Manager Leo Huang has worked in the City of Richmond for over 5 years. He started at the City in 2016 as an Engineer-In-Training and was has worked in the Engineering Design and Construction, Capital Buildings Project Development, and Public Works divisions. He is currently working as a Project Manager in the Engineering Design and Construction division manages capital infrastructure design and construction projects.
Corrine Haer, P.Eng., Project Manager Corrine Haer has been with the City of Richmond since 2012 and is currently a project manager in the Engineering Planning department. Her work at the city focuses on long-term infrastructure planning for our diking network and she has helped develop the City's Flood Protection Management Strategy and Dike Master Plans which are the guiding framework for continual upgrades and improvements to address climate change induced sea level rise. Projects she is currently working on include Dike Master Plan Phase 4, which is the last of the Dike Master Plans and continuing to implement the work plan associated with the Steveston Island dike alignment.
AJ Morris, PMP, Project Manager AJ Morris has been a part of the Richmond team since 2003 working as an Engineering Civil Inspector, Cost Estimator and now a Project Manager. His current portfolio mostly consists of Capital Drainage projects like dike maintenance and raising as well as laneway upgrades. As a Steveston resident, AJ is truly invested in Richmond’s drainage infrastructure.
