Andy Garland

Andy Garland obtained his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Victoria. He has been with StarFish Medical for the last 5 years where he contributes to projects of all stages, from early concept definition and proof of concept design to manufacturing transfer and sustaining engineering. Before Starfish he worked in various areas of both pulp and paper and oil and gas. More recently he has started on a new 3D bioprinting venture, VoxCell BioInnovation.

Andy will be discussing one of their recent projects, the COVID-19 emergency ventilator (aka. The Winnipeg Ventilator). He will also be giving a virtual tour of the facility and answering questions about StarFish, what they do, and past projects.
