Engineers and Geoscientists BC is hosting a virtual UBC student and industry event. This networking event provides a opportunity for industry professionals to share their knowledge, career anecdotes, and advice with UBC engineering students.

Instructions for Industry Participants

Networking will be facilitated through the Zoom Breakout feature.

Students will have the chance to meet with industry participants in a variety of specialties and ask them questions about work and lifestyle choices to gain a deeper understanding of what opportunities are available and to cover topics important to them. The event is organized similar to a “speed-networking” session, where students rotate from room to room in a virtual setting.

Full instructions will be given to industry members along with the webinar login a few days prior to the event.

Schedule

  • 12:00 PM: Virtual Event Opens
  • 12:05 PM: Introduction and Housekeeping
  • 12:10 PM: Presentation
  • 12:45 PM: Q&A
  • 1:00 PM: Breakout Networking
