Dr. Emad Mohammed will present his research on the design of a backend artificial intelligence software component to continuously and non-invasively pre-screen COVID-19 cough sounds using a mobile phone.

Dr. Emad Mohammed, P.Eng.

Assistant Teaching Professor, Thompson Rivers University

Dr. Emad Mohammed, P.Eng., is an assistant teaching professor in the Department of Engineering at Thompson Rivers University. Emad has a B.Sc. in biomedical engineering from Cairo University and an M.Sc. degree in the field of software engineering from the University of Alberta. His Ph.D. degree, also from U of C, is in the field of big data analytics, where he found a new method for decision making on a large scale based on a new approach for statistical data aggregation and predictive analytics. He has over 12 years of experience teaching at the post-secondary level and half a decade of industry experience, and he is passionate about using his research and teaching for the betterment of humanity.
