Event Description

The conveyance project is being delivered via two contracts, Design Bid Build for cut and cover installation of a large diameter (~34") sewer force main across the downtown area of the Town of Comox; and Design Build for the remainder of the project scope, including replacement or major upgrade of the two largest Comox Valley Sewer Service pump stations, cut and cover of the large diameter sewer force main through the rural areas, and a 1.3 km section to be installed via horizontal directional drilling under Lazo Hill. The project is being driven by the need to decommission an at-risk section of the existing force main below Willemar Bluffs, and will deliver a comprehensive and resilient conveyance system to serve the community for the next 80 years.
