Event Description


Join the South Central Branch for an evening social and hear the story of the 2013 Kananaskis River flood recovery from design to construction. Discussion on the lessons learned and how they might be applied to recovery efforts for BC's own flood of the century will be held.

Speaker

Eric Sweet, P. Eng., M. Eng.

Eric is a proven project leader with over 24 years of combined heavy civil construction, hydrotechnical water resources, and consulting civil engineering experience. Eric's experience includes mine development and reclamation, site drainage, stream diversions, river engineering, embankment dams, gravel pits, digital terrain modeling, and earthworks design and construction. He also has extensive successful experience working with stakeholders and regulators prior to and during the permitting and construction phases.
