Join Victoria Branch for the tour of Advanced Microscopy Facility at the University of Victoria. Microscopy is the science of obtaining magnified images of samples to reveal hidden details and understand their morphology and structure.

This in-person event offers a chance to explore cutting-edge microscopy instruments and experience a hands-on portable scanning electron microscope demonstration. The Advanced Microscopy Facility at UVic features a range of state-of-the-art instruments, including a Scanning Transmission Electron Holography Microscope (STEHM),a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), a Focused Ion Beam (FIB), a Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), and various other sample preparation tools. Registration is in the lobby of the main floor of the Bob Wright Centre. Non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.
