The Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) is inviting individuals and organizations to submit proposals for Continuing Education sessions held at the 2020 OAA Annual Conference. The event takes place at the Toronto Beanfield Centre and Hotel from May 27 to May 29, 2020.

The 3-day interdisciplinary forum brings together Ontario architects, interns, students, engineers, interior designers, and other allied professionals. In addition to Continuing Education seminars, it includes workshops, panel presentations, architectural tours, and social events.

The 2020 OAA Annual Conference is titled Shifting Paradigms. In our time, we are at a pivotal point due to the rapid social changes; likewise architectural practice is rapidly changing with shifting properties across society. From the way we deliver projects to the way we organize our offices, and from the tools we use to design to the skills we need to succeed, all aspects must evolve interdependently. In today’s society, where diversity, sustainability, and transparency are paramount, the question is: Are we leading by example?

Visit the Call for Presenters page to learn more about the opportunities and process, including how to review the Guidelines and Terms of Presenting and submit a brief outline for consideration.

The deadline for Continuing Education session proposals is Monday, October 7. All presenters will be contacted as to whether their proposals were accepted for inclusion by Friday, December 21.
