Province-Wide Energy Code Compliance Survey Aims to Identify Barriers, Opportunities

Posted on October 7, 2020

FortisBC and BC Hydro are asking professionals to help them gauge compliance with large building energy codes and identify ways that code compliance can improve.

A province-wide survey aims to collect information about energy code compliance for large buildings from industry professionals, practitioners, and building officials who have experience within the last 2 years meeting or enforcing energy code for large buildings (Part 3 buildings and non-residential Part 9 buildings). This survey expects to reveal the current level of compliance with energy requirements, and help identify barriers and opportunities to improve code compliance throughout BC.

The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete and is open until October 31, 2020.
