Take Part in Celebrating International Women in Engineering Day

June 23, 2018, is International Women in Engineering Day – a day of global awareness to raise the profile of women in engineering and focus attention on the amazing career opportunities available to young women in this exciting industry.

Join Engineers and Geoscientists BC in celebrating the achievements of female engineers, and their contributions to the profession, our communities, and society. Get involved!

  • Check out video messages from members of Engineers and Geoscientists BC’s Council and senior staff on how they are making an impact in their communities through engineering.
  • Take part in the campaign. Share your love for your profession by submitting a photo or short video (30–45 seconds) speaking about your experience in the profession and the importance of 30 by 30, a goal introduced by Engineers Canada to raise the percentage of newly licensed engineers who are women to 30% by the year 2030. Post your video or photo on social media, and tag it @EngGeoBC and the hashtags #RaisingTheBar and #INWED2018.
  • Look for our International Women in Engineering Day advertisement in the Vancouver Sun on Saturday, June 23.
  • Watch our events page for a diversity webinar series later this fall.

Learn more about the important work we are doing to support the Engineers Canada 30 by 30 initiative to increase the participation of women in the engineering profession.
