A significant component of the Regulation of Firms – Permit to Practice requirements is the proactive mandatory audits of registrant firms. Firms will be eligible for Permit to Practice audits 12 months after receiving a permit. After the initial audit, firms will be audited regularly on a 3-to-5-year cycle.
Additional information will be provided once the new bylaws and regulations under the Professional Governance Act are finalized. Engineers and Geoscientists BC will be providing comprehensive guidance documents to assist registrant firms in understanding and benefiting from the Audit Program.
