Call for 2018 Annual Conference Presenters

We are currently seeking presenters for technical, business, managerial and personal development topics for the 2018 Annual Conference to be held in Vancouver, BC.

When: Thursday, October 18 and Friday, October 19, 2018

2018 Conference Program

The 2018 Annual Conference and Annual General Meeting will take place October 18-20, 2018 in Vancouver, BC. The conference and AGM will be held at the Convention Centre East and will be the venue for two days of professional development sessions, networking opportunities and an exhibitor tradeshow, followed by the 99th annual general meeting of Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia.
 
The conference brings together engineers, geoscientists, technologists, faculty, government representatives, students and other members of the community. Last year’s professional development sessions included the following streams: management, better business, climate change, geoscience, structural engineering, energy efficiency and renewable energy, emerging professional, engineering and geoscience in the resource sector, municipal engineering and environmental engineering. An anticipated 800 delegates will be in attendance at this year’s conference.

Professional Development Submissions

Presentations should be 1 hour and 15 minutes in length. Presentations of 35 minutes in length will also be considered. All presentations must include time for questions and answers.

Note: Each meeting room will be set up theater style and will be equipped with a laptop, LCD projector, screen, podium with microphone and wireless lavaliere microphone.

Although no honoraria will be paid for presentations, reasonable travel expenses may be reimbursed if required. Engineers and Geoscientists BC conference provide speakers the opportunity to demonstrate their expertise, knowledge and experience, as well as to network with colleagues. In appreciation for all the hard work and effort, Engineers and Geoscientists BC offers a full day complimentary conference registration (for speaking session day) to all speakers.

Presentations for the purpose of promoting or selling specific products, services or providers are prohibited. Presentations are to be educational and tailored to the professional engineering and geoscience membership.
