Trainee Elsewhere in Canada
Being a current registrant or licensee with another Canadian Association/Ordre allows you to more easily gain registration with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia. Becoming a registrant with Engineers and Geoscientists BC does not affect your status with other Canadian Associations/Ordre.
Engineers-in-training (EIT), geoscientists-in-training (GIT) or junior engineers/ingénieurs juniors who are current members in good standing with another Canadian Association/Ordre.
Applications are made through the Online Application tool.
- A completed application.
- *Certified true copy of the photo page of your current passport, NEXUS card, Canadian citizenship card (issued prior to 2012), Canadian permanent resident card, or a Certificate of Indian Status (status card). Applicants are required to upload this document through their applicant dashboard.
- Confirmation of registration: Engineers and Geoscientists BC will contact your indicated provincial/territorial Association(s)/Ordre. During the application process, you will be required to disclose your registration details for each of the Canadian Associations/Ordres you are registered with.
*To have your document certified, take a clear photocopy of your document and ask a British Columbia registered P.Eng., P.Geo., P.L.Eng., P.L.Geo., or Notary Public to sign, date, and stamp it as a "true copy of the original".

Once all the required documents have been received, it takes approximately 5–7 business days to review your application.

Upon registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC, you will be sent a notification email and a certificate.

The application fee is waived if applying as an academic qualified EIT, GIT, MIT, ing jr, géo jr or stagiare in other province or territory.
Applicant must be transferring to Engineers and Geoscientists BC in the same registration category as their current registration.
After registration is granted, all registrants are subject to annual fees (prorated in the first year of registration).
