Henderson Rains Scholarship
Application Guidelines
The Henderson Rains Scholarship supports second-year engineering students at the University of British Columbia Okanagan. Wayne is a Kelowna-raised professional engineer who has had a successful career and made a significant contribution to the BC structural industry as the principal of Advance Precast. One scholarship, valued at $2,500, is awarded on the basis of a combination of factors including academic achievement, community activities, and a student statement.
Your application form and all supporting documents must be submitted electronically by the application deadline.
Deadline
Applications are accepted until 11:59 PM on Friday, September 27, 2024.
Eligibility
- Students enrolled in their second year in the Faculty of Applied Science (Engineering) at UBC’s Okanagan Campus in Kelowna, BC.
- Applicants must be enrolled in courses or in a co-op program for the current academic year.
- Applicants must be full-time UBC Okanagan engineering students in the current academic year.
- Previously successful applicants who still qualify under the criteria above are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

- Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
