Manager of Engineering and Facilities

Pitt Meadows is planning for exciting new initiatives including traffic and transportation improvements, execution of capital projects, and municipal infrastructure development and replacement. We are seeking a Manager of Engineering and Facilities with a team-oriented leadership style, outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills, project management capability, and a broad range of experience.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering and Operations, this position will oversee and supervise a small team of professional and support staff to assist you in executing development and capital projects, including design and installation of municipal works and services, and annual and long-term plans and budgets. Work will include oversight of multiple buildings and facilities and management of their related assets. This role also includes procurement and contract administration related to engineering and facility projects. You will have input into hiring and overseeing work performed by staff, and consultants, ensuring adherence to quality control standards.

Preferred candidates will possess a P.Eng. designation in civil or mechanical engineering (preferred), and broad related experience, including 5 years of progressive supervisory responsibility either within a municipal setting or engineering firm with a project management focus.
