Event Description

Research shows that inclusion drives more effective team problem solving and higher levels of innovation, but to unlock the full power of inclusion, organizations must be able to create the environment for employees to do their best work. Model to better understand how to create the environment where employees can feel a sense of belonging and overcome the increasing complexities of the evolving working environment. Often our own biases can get in the way of driving full workplace inclusion.

About the Event

In this session you will have space to become more aware of your own biases, values, and cultural norms, and how they shape your worldview. With a deeper connection to your own unconscious biases, we will then look at the HEART model to unlock the key traits of inclusive leadership—humility, empathy, authenticity, resiliency, and curiosity.

Learning Objectives

  • Personal assumptions, biases, understanding your impact on others.
  • Understanding how to interrupt bias, both personally and organizationally.
  • Key traits of inclusive leadership, using the HEART Model (Humility, Empathy, Authenticity, Resiliency, and CuriosiTy).
  • Identify and commit to action.

Workshop Series

This workshop is part of a 3-part series that explores psychological safety, unconscious bias, and activating allyship. There are no prerequisites to attend each workshop and individual registration is available.
