To participate in this year's bridge competition, please fill out the registration forms that can be found under "Read More" and collect the bridge building kits from Port Moody Library, Coquitlam Poirier Library, or Coquitlam City Center Library.

Event Description

Join the Tri-City Branch for its annual bridge building competition. The goal of this event is to promote the awareness of the engineering and geoscience industry through a fun learning environment. This year's event will be in person and will feature a bridge showcase, live testing, and science tutorials. Participants are required to bring their pre-constructed bridges to the venue.

About the Event

Event Schedule

  • 9:00 AM: Registration for bridges (Grade K-12)
  • 9:30 AM: Opening remarks
  • 9:45 AM: Bridge Testing for Grade K-5
  • 10:00 AM: Seminar #1
  • 11:15 AM: Awards for Grade K-5
  • 11:30 PM: Bridge Testing for Grade 6-8
  • 11:45 PM: Seminar #2
  • 12:45 PM: Awards for Grade 6-8 and Seminar #3
  • 1:00 PM: Bridge Testing for Grade 9-12
  • 2:15 PM: Awards for Grade 9-12
  • 2:30 PM: Closing
