About the Event

Join the Central Interior Branch for its annual bridge building competition. The goal of this event is to promote the awareness of the engineering and geoscience industry through a fun learning environment.

Bridges will be tested with a specially designed machine that applies an increasing load until the bridge breaks. The machine is equipped with a load cell to indicate maximum load before failure.  

Prizes will be presented in the following categories and each participant will receive a certificate.
  • Primary (Grades 1 to 3)
  • Intermediate (Grades 4 to 7)
  • Secondary (Grades 8 to 12)
  • Open (Adult)
Event Schedule:
  • 11:00 AM: Registration
  • 11:45 AM: Opening Ceremony
  • 12:00 PM: Primary Cateogry
  • 1:00 PM: Intermediate Category 
  • 2:00 PM: Secondary Category 
  • 3:00 PM: Open Category
