Voting for the 2020 Council election is now open. All professional registrants and limited licensees (including retired and non-practising registrants) have the opportunity to participate in self-regulation by selecting leaders that they feel are best positioned to lead the organization and uphold our mandate to serve the public interest.
This year, registrants have the opportunity to elect 1 President, 1 Vice President, and 5 Councillors. All candidates selected to stand for election were approved by the Nominating Committee using a rigorous merit-based process, as required by the Professional Governance Act.
Voting closes at noon PDT, on Friday, October 2, 2020. Your participation in this process is important; as an engineering or geoscience professional, support the association’s self-governance by making an informed choice and casting your vote today.
About Paper Ballots
The overwhelming majority of Engineers and Geoscientists BC registrants vote electronically. Council previously had determined that paper ballots would be discontinued in 2021. However, due to new circumstances related to COVID-19, paper ballots will be discontinued 1 year earlier than planned. Only electronic voting will be available for the 2020 election.
