Council Elections: How and When to Vote

Posted on July 8, 2019

Voting in the Engineers and Geoscientists BC Council election takes place each September; all professional members and limited licensees in good standing (P.Eng. and P.Geo., and Eng.L. and Geo.L) are eligible to vote.

An email will be sent to members by Friday, September 6, 2019, with instructions on the electronic voting procedure. Online voting will be securely and anonymously conducted using systems contracted from Simply Voting Inc. To ensure you receive voting information and instructions, please verify your contact information by August 30, 2019, at egbc.ca/update-info.

Paper ballots will be available by request. Please email your request to [email protected], or contact our office at 604.430.8035 (toll-free 1.888.430.8035). All online and paper ballots must be submitted and received by 12:00 PM on Friday, October 4, 2019.

The overwhelming majority of Engineers and Geoscientists BC members vote electronically. Paper ballots will be available for the 2019 and 2020 election. Beginning 2021, only electronic voting will be available.
