In the next couple of weeks, the association will be making a visible shift in our public and member communications. We are launching a renewed brand for the organization and seizing the opportunity to actively shape how the BC engineers and geoscientists are perceived by the public. This move will bring greater clarity to our role as the provincial regulator for these professions.
Changes are coming soon. With your input, the new brand identity has been developed to represent the professionalism and prestige of our association and our members. At the launch in late August, and going forward, you will see a new business name for the association, a new look to our communications, and a consistent new approach that will deliver an impactful visual expression of who we are.
Why is this important? As a regulator, safety and protecting the public interest are our main focus. Just as the practice of engineering and geoscience is constantly evolving to match the pace of change, we need to be agile in shaping public perceptions of our professions and maintaining public trust—demonstrating that we are keeping pace and capable of effectively fulfilling our public interest role in a modern world with global challenges.
Online, in print, and in person, we will show that BC’s engineering and geoscience professionals are modern and diverse, practising to the highest professional and ethical standards. Our drive is to be a beacon of inclusivity, with a focus on ethics, excellence, and progress.
Watch for changes in the coming weeks ahead. For more information about work on the brand development process and consultation results, you can find updates in past issues of Innovation magazine
