Service Interruptions Due to Canada Post Strike
Last updated: November 29, 2024
Canada Post's operations have been shut down due to a national strike. For the latest information and service updates, visit Canada Post’s Negotiation Page.
During the Canada Post strike, Engineers and Geoscientists BC will not be sending or receiving items normally handled by Canada Post.
Service disruptions you can expect include:
- Mail sent via Canada Post will not be picked up or delivered to the Engineers and Geoscientists BC’s office, including mail containing cheques, bank statements, transcripts, and diplomas. This may cause delays to application processing times for registration, and the processing of payments.
- Engineers and Geoscientists BC will not be sending or receiving registered mail during the strike. Mailing will resume once the strike ends.
- Seals and certificates - Due to the strike, seals and certificates will not be mailed out to any newly licensed registrants. Please consider ordering a digital signature and electronic seal. Note, once mail services resume, there will be a significant backlog of orders; your patience is appreciated.
Please consider switching to digital options for payment where possible. Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express) and online banking (Bank of Montreal, TD Canada Trust, RBC Royal Bank, and Scotiabank) are accepted by Engineers and Geoscientists BC.
