We are always looking for new branch volunteers. If you are interested in meeting current members of the branch executive or joining us for an upcoming meeting to find out more about the opportunity, please reach out to us. You may also view current volunteer opportunities and apply online for the Branch Volunteer position. Applicants must be registered with Engineers and Geoscientists BC to be eligible to volunteer with the organization.
If you are interested in sponsoring any of our events, we have opportunities available throughout the year ranging in price from $200–$2,000.

We are always looking for new ways to improve our branch events and outreach activities.
This past April, the West Kootenay Branch hosted a virtual Popsicle stick bridge building competition. Participants had the chance to build their own bridge and have it tested against the force of a loading plate to discover its maximum load. During this process, participants experienced the many ways engineering and geoscience relates to our everyday life and learned more about the engineering and geoscience professions.
Videos from the popsicle bridge competition are available in the West Kootenay Branch Owncloud folder (password: WKbranch2022).
