Candidate StatementsBylaw Amendments

Candidates' election statements are included in the election material for the information of members. All candidate statements must comply with the Election Policy. Election statements are not edited for grammar or typographical errors, but have been formatted for consistency.

New this year, candidates running for the positions of President or Vice President were also invited to participate in a short video as part of the candidate information presented to members. The videos for the candidates that participated in the optional video component can be found on the candidate’s statement page. Inclusion of a video was optional and is being piloted for the 2018 election as a way to provide voting members with more information about candidates. Members are encouraged to participate in our post-voting survey to provide feedback on the usefulness of the video component.

The opinions expressed by candidates are not necessarily those of the association, but are permitted to ensure an appropriate and robust debate of the issues that may be of importance to members of the association.

As per the Election Policy, the candidate names appear in alphabetical order in the election materials. The names on the ballot are listed in order of random draw.
