Event Description

We are excited to have City of Parksville Director of Operations, Vaughn Figueira, provide a detailed guided tour of the brand new Englishman River Water Service water treatment plant. This project was a collaboration between the City of Parksville and the Regional District of Nanaimo that services the Parksville and Nanoose areas. The official opening ceremony was conducted on January 9, 2020 and the facility now treats water from the new Englishman River intake via membrane filtration, ultraviolet light, and chlorine disinfection.
