The bidding, evaluation, negotiation, and contract award phases are typically a short but very important part of any construction project. Taking place between the design and construction phases, this often overlooked part of the project is crucial to any successful project delivery method. This course will examine the basics of bidding and how to prepare the call for bids, followed by the process of bidding, negotiation, and contract award.

Martin Gerkup, Architect AIBC, OAA, MRAIC

Martin is a member of the Architectural Institute of British Columbia and the Ontario Association of Architects, and has taught as an Assistant Adjunct Professor and tutor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design as well as for the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Ryerson University. Martin has 35 years of experience in the field of building condition assessments and reserve fund studies, and has worked on well over 1,000 buildings and structures.

Mitchell has over 15 years of experience in the field of building condition assessments and reserve fund studies and specializes in the practice of building science and restoration engineering, with a background in structural and building systems engineering.
