Event Description

With an increased reliance on technology, many businesses have become keenly aware of their cyber risk - equally, it's creating more opportunities for cyber criminals looking to exploit vulnerabilities and create operational disruption or financial loss. The headlines will often report big-scale privacy events happening at major companies, but small firms and sole proprietors make up a much larger proportion of cyber claims from an insurance perspective, and ultimately, are more vulnerable.

About the Event

Learning Objectives

In this session, participants will:

  • Understand the cyber risks that exist within the engineering field today and why cyber threat actors consider them targets;
  • Be able to hear real life case studies of cyber insurance policyholders who experienced cyber claims, and how the coverage worked in action to respond; and
  • Learn about what measures can be adopted to prevent a cyber-attack from happening before having to file a claim.
