About the Event

These guidelines address the current expectations of practice for engineering and geoscience professionals working in the area of asset management for local governments. They cover all phases of local government asset management and professional expectations and considerations throughout these phases. The guidelines also discuss the roles and responsibilities of the parties typically involved in local government asset management, from local government administrators to professionals of a variety of backgrounds, as well as asset management consultants.

The guidelines outline the training and experience typically required to carry out local government asset management and describe how the intent of the quality management standards under Engineers and Geoscientists BC's Bylaws are to be met.
