Event Description

Please join the West Kootenay Branch for their AGM, an Induction Ceremony, and an adress by Larry Spence, P.Eng. about the PGA.

About the Event

The West Kootenay Branch is looking for volunteers for member-at-large positions. This is an entry-level position on the executive.

The Induction ceremony is an opportunity for registrants in the West Kootenay area who have received their certification since the last AGM to be recognized by the Branch Executive. Each registrant will have their name read allowed and will recite the Engineering Oath together.

In addition to the Induction ceremony there is a President's address scheduled for the evening. As well as a short update on the organization this year, there will be a talk about the Professional Governance Act and implications for engineers across all areas. The talk will focus on Regulation of Firms (including where sole practitioners fit), Duty to Report, Continuing Education, Code of Ethics. There will be time for a Q&A after the presentation.
