Event Description

Join the Vancouver Island Branch for a presentation on risk-based remediation in BC. Most contaminated sites undergoing remediation in BC are using a risk management approach. They are not being cleaned up to meet stringent environmental standards. As a cost-efficient alternative, these sites are evaluated to determine real risks to human health and the environment, both for current and future anticipated conditions. This presentation focuses on the process of obtaining risk-based Certificates of Compliance in support of site development, and provides some examples of the conditions attached to such approvals.

Event Presenter(s)
