About the Event

This event consists of a tour of a large state-of-the-art Ultra-Violet (UV) disinfection facility owned and operated by the Black Mountain Irrigation District (BMID). The facility was constructed and successfully commissioned in 2017. It includes three large 48-inch size Wedeco Low-Pressure High output UV reactors in the facility with the ability to increase reactor capacity and to add a fourth reactor.

An orientation and discussion will be included to explain the water quality challenges and how this facility will be part of the long-term water supply solutions for the Kelowna region.

There is parking space at the facility.
