Karen Ling Re-elected to Board

A total of 4,310 votes were cast in the election, which ran from August 7 to September 6, bringing the voter turnout rate to 9.4%.
At the inaugural Board meeting in October, the Board will elect the Chair and Vice Chair from among the elected registrant Board members. This governance best practice, well-established in similar organizations, enables our Board to select strong leaders for the organization.
Along with the four publicly appointed Board members, the following registrant Board members will continue their terms on the Board:
- Michelle Mahovlich, P.Eng., P.Geo., FCSSE
- Veronica Knott, P.Eng.
- Matthew Salmon, P.Eng.
- Malcolm Shield, P.Eng.
- Jens Weber, P.Eng.
- Dr. Gordon Zhou, P.Eng.
Mark Porter, P.Eng., Struct.Eng., FEC, will continue for an additional year in the role of Immediate Past Board Chair.
