Updating the Professional Practice Seminar for BC
The Professional Engineering and Geoscience Practice in BC Online Seminar prepares registrants for professional practice in BC and is one of six qualifying requirements that must be completed before professional registration can be granted. The seminar is composed of 10 modules with a combination of video interviews, concise reading, case studies, knowledge tests, and activities, providing an engaging and accessible learning platform.
Due to the constant evolution of engineering and geoscience practice, shifts in societal values and regional demographics, significant developments in professional regulation and the implementation of the Professional Governance Act, Engineers and Geoscientists BC made the decision to rewrite the course content for improved relevancy, accessibility, and inclusivity.
With the primary goal of protecting public safety and wellbeing, the seminar content helps registrants anticipate tomorrow’s challenges and opportunities and constantly adapt to stay relevant and support strong professional practice.
