Reminder about Advanced Motion Submission at the AGM

During the Annual General Meeting (AGM), members and licensees of Engineers and Geoscientists BC can bring forward motions for the consideration by Council. Members who submit motions by September 20, 2018, will have their motions published to members in advance of the AGM.

To submit a motion for the AGM, you will need to complete a Motion Submission Form, which asks movers to provide the full text of the motion, along with some basic information about how the motion aligns with the association’s Strategic Plan, and the motion’s importance.

Advanced publication of the motions will allow members to inform themselves about a motion before it is discussed at the AGM. It also enables members to decide whether they have enough information to immediately consider the motion topic.

The AGM will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018, from 8:30 AM–12:30 PM at Vancouver Convention Centre East. For more information about the AGM, visit egbc.ca/agm.
