As the official publication of Engineers and Geoscientists BC, Innovation magazine is an important news source for engineering and geoscience registrants. The magazine includes information to support registrants in their practice and in meeting their regulatory and licensing obligations.

Innovation includes:

  • Disciplinary decisions

Our annual project highlights issue displays the current innovative and sustainable projects by engineer and geoscientist registrants across BC.

Innovation also regularly includes in-depth features on topics that support our regulatory mandate of public safety and environmental stewardship.

Innovation is circulated to more than 40,000 BC-registered professional engineers and geoscientists, other professionals, industry and government representatives, educational institutions, and the public.

New in 2024

Starting in 2024, Innovation will convert to a quarterly magazine from its current format as a bi-monthly publication. The last magazine in 2023 will be the November/December edition.

In 2024, Innovation will have the following editions:

  • Spring (March)
  • Summer (June)
  • Fall (September)
  • Winter (December)

Article Suggestions

We welcome your ideas! If you have an interesting story or photo idea, please let us know.

Suggestions should:

  • Be of interest and relevant to engineers and geoscientists in BC
  • Recognise the regulatory role of Engineers and Geoscientists BC in ensuring public safety and environmental protection
  • Not be a "sales pitch" for a particular organization or business

Editorial content is compiled well in advance of each publication, so please submit your ideas to the managing editor as early as possible. Please do not submit unsolicited articles or photos.
