Discipline Notice: Alexander McNally, P.Eng.

On January 24, 2026, an Extraordinary Action Panel of the Discipline Committee of Engineers and Geoscientists BC determined that Alexander McNally, P.Eng., be restricted from conducting any engineering work related to wastewater sewerage systems in BC.
The extraordinary action proceeding arose following four separate matters concerning the engineering practice and conduct of Mr. McNally for numerous wastewater sewerage systems in the Interior region of BC.
Following joint submissions by Engineers and Geoscientists BC and Mr. McNally, the panel issued its written decision and ordered, as an interim condition, that Mr. McNally is restricted from conducting any engineering work related to wastewater sewerage systems in BC or acting as an Authorized Person pursuant to the Sewerage System Regulation, B.C. Reg. 326/2004 and Sewerage System Standard Practice Manual, Version 3 (SPM).
The panel determined that the interim condition was necessary given Mr. McNally’s non-compliance with the SPM and his lack of requisite knowledge and experience, which presents a real and immediate risk to public health and the environment. The panel concluded that due to the gravity of risk to the public, it is essential to impose the interim condition that restricts Mr. McNally’s continued practice relating to wastewater sewerage systems.
Mr. McNally’s interim condition is in effect until a Consent Order is reached between the Investigation Committee or the Discipline Committee and Mr. McNally, a final determination is made following a disciplinary hearing in the matter, or the Discipline Committee determines that the interim condition is no longer necessary to protect the public.
