In a July 11, 2025, Consent Order, Peter Charles Gaffran admitted that he demonstrated unprofessional conduct and conduct unbecoming a registrant when he engaged in inappropriate conduct towards a junior colleague. Mr. Gaffran’s registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC is cancelled.

When registrants completed their Annual Reporting this year, more than 6,000 completed the organization’s follow-up survey about the process. While results from the survey show most registrants found the reporting process positive, many also had suggestions on how the process could be improved.

The guidelines provide guidance for engineers involved in the specification, design, implementation, verification, deployment, or maintenance of security-critical software.

In a May 19, 2025, Consent Order, Geoffrey Fash Wensel admitted that he demonstrated unprofessional conduct in relation to the engineering services he provided for the design of a residence in Vancouver. As of June 14, 2025, Mr. Wensel’s registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC is suspended for six months.
